"Buffalo and Prairie" by Josie Eresch, Amer., (1894-aft.1938)
Lithograph, ca. 1936, ed.unknown, but probably small, 9-1/16 x 12-1/16, signed & inscribed in pencil, on buff Arches laid paper, some foxing in the lower left margin only outside of image. The artist was a capable student of Birger Sandzen and embraced a similar muscular and linear drawing style. Eresch was a painter, printmaker and craftsman, her work is not commonly encountered; this is a very fine example of one of her prints, the only one I've come across in 30 years.
