"Three Women at Outdoor Market" by Henri-Gabriel Ibels, Fr., (1867-1936)

Lithograph, 1892-3?, Printed by Ed. Kleinmann, Paris, embossed blind stamp to lower left margin corner, from an album,  Ed. of 25, 9-7/16 x 7-5/8, on gray chine colle affixed to a white wove support sheet, handling creases and slight toning to margins, crease to support sheet left margin edge center, an old repaired tear to support sheet at right margin edge center, well outside chine and hidden by mat, lightly signed and numbered in blue pencil. With such bold compositions, graphic brevity, and charming appraisals of human character, it is remarkable that fine prints like this by Ibels, who shared the famous portfolio "Cafe Concert" with Toulouse Lautrec, can be acquired for such a reasonable sum; especially when hand signed in such a small edition.
