"Fairy Fish Globes" by Alice Pauline Schafer, Amer., (1899-1980)

Gouache and Ink, 1925, Tondo Composition 8-5/8 x 8- 5/8, signed & dated in ink at lower left, signed & titled in ink on verso, on thin smooth cream wove bristol board. Another great imaginative illustration with extremely fine detail by this respected but underknown artist. The inclusion of the tiny fish in the dew drops is wonderful.
