Color Lithograph, 1953, Ed. 50, Ref. W. A, 17-3/4 x 15-7/8, on cream wove Arches paper, with small top & side margins, large bottom margin as issued, signed and dated in pencil. This large and striking lithograph was produced by Mourlot in collaboration with Tanguy. There is only one lithograph known by Tanguy, produced for the famous catalog designed by Duchamp for Surrealism in 1947. This large color lithograph after Tanguy is the only print which approximates the presence of one of his paintings, his other graphic work consisting of etchings, only occasionally printed in color, and tending to a small intimate scale.
