After A. M. Turner, Etching & Drypoint, 1888, ed. unknown, Pub. by C. Klackner, NY, 17 x 13-7/8, signed in pencil, on cream simili vellum wove paper, with an inventory number stamped in blue lower right margin edge. Spiegle'simages of the fairer sex emote a 19th century gentility with equal parts sentiment and innocence. While today these women might not be smiled upon as feminist icons, they can exude a sensual, feminine beauty, which still charms and beguiles us today. This large etching by Spiegle after the English born portrait artist A.M. Turner, (1852-1932), is a particularly beautiful example.
