The artist was a gifted animal and botanical artist and a champion dog breeder who lived and worked in New York state and Connecticut. She specialized in bold and energetic drawings of animals, often retouched with other media, as well as trace monotypes, etchings, and lithographs, always rendering her subjects with a keen eye and great empathy.
