St. Jerome and the Genii, Pen & ink, 1967, 13 x 10, signed "Gracia" in ink lower left, on thick textured warm white watercolor paper. Melanson was a well known Providence painter and printmaker who often worked from imagination. She was Professor Emeritus at R.I.S.D. and the first woman there to be granted a masters in painting. This is a fine drawing by the artist.
