Driftwood and Surf, Color Silkscreen, ca. 1930's-40's, ed. unknown, ca. 11 x 14, signed in white ink in the screen with a copyright mark, on stiff textured cream wove paper, a few scrapes, fox marks and printing flaws in image, and extensive glue residue in the margins; just entering image at top edge left of center, and bottom right edge below center. Despite the serious condition issues, mostly confined to the margins and image edges; the colors are bright and crisp, and the image bold and appealing. Cooper was a California based artist about whom little information is available, and yet his ability in this medium makes one curious to see more of his work.
