Circus Came to Town (Circus Posters by Railroad Tracks), Gouache, ca. 1940's, 12-5/8 x 20, unsigned, on "Hi -Art Artist Illustration Board". Though this highly finished work is unsigned or trimmed, it compares favorably with other midwest and western landscape works by Bohrod from the 1940's which display his characteristic love of symbolic fine detail, as exhibited here in the intriguing tattered circus posters tacked to a fence by the railroad in this lonely town.
